The term prion was coined by Prusiner in 1982 as an acronym for a ‘proteinaceous infectious pathogen’ that could somehow ‘encipher is own replication blueprint without DNA or RNA’. A brief history of prions 2015. Prusiner’s Nobel prize for this further cements prions into the false narrative.
There's no evidence that the unusual formations, tangles and plaques of misfolded proteins seen in the brains of animals and people who have symptoms associated with BSE or CJD, nor the proteins formed in stressed cell cultures, for which, as usual, controls are not done, are caused by transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSE’S) also known as ‘prions’
There is plenty of evidence, however, that BSE (‘mad cow disease’) was caused by the application of neurotoxic organophosphates and other poisons to the back of the necks of cows to prevent ticks, which are a serious problem for animals in close confinement. Countries and herds that don't use organophosphates had no problem with the 'disease'; trouble standing up and walking, becoming nervous or violent; the same symptoms as neurotoxicity.
The destruction of so-called infected herds and burning of their bodies was obviously unnecessary, but it would not be wise to consume any parts of these poisoned animals, whether they showed symptoms or not.
There are already a lot of computer generated fantasies about what these prions that no one has isolated from diseased animals and then shown them to be transmissible pathogens, might look like; The shape of infectious prions:-
“When healthy they look like spheres, when diseased like cubes. Prions are unique infective agents -- unlike viruses, bacteria, fungi and other parasites, prions do not contain either DNA or RNA. Despite their seemingly simple structure, they can propagate their pathological effects like wildfire, by "infecting" normal proteins. PrPSc (the pathological form of the prion protein) can induce normal prion proteins (PrPC) to acquire the wrong conformation and convert into further disease-causing agents.”
and
”Works like ours are the first, important steps to understand the mechanisms underlying the pathogenic effect of prions" concludes Legname. "Elucidating the misfolding process is essential to the future development of drugs and therapeutic strategies against incurable neurodegenerative diseases."
This is all sounding very familiar- I think it's being lined up for the next scamdemic.
The misfolded proteins or disease symptoms cannot be seen to pass from a sick animal to a healthy one unless mashed up brain and spinal cord from the sick animal is injected directly into the brain of the healthy one. CJD and Kuru (though to be caused by human cannibalism) has also shown to be ‘transmissible’ by direct injection of sick human brain material into the the brains of healthy chimpanzees. No control experiements, of course, for this barbarism.
The misfolded proteins and the symptoms of neurotoxicity are not caused by ‘infectious’ agents. They occur due to poisoning but also in animals kept in stressful, close confinement, fed evolutionary inappropriate food (they are all herbivores) and who are repeatedly vaccinated (vaccination has been shown to cause ‘scrapie’) and given antibiotics. These factors all lead to disruption in the microbiome of the animal and apply to way about 90% of animal products are made.
The microbiome in animals and humans is extremely important for just about everything including the production of up to 70% of the body’s serotonin, control of inflammation and in the healthy functioning of neurotransmission.
Brain-gut-microbiota axis in Parkinsons' Disease;-
“gut dysbiosis and/or small intestinal bacterial overgrowth and increased intestinal permeability may induce systemic inflammation, while activation of enteric (gut) neurons and enteric glial cells may contribute to the initiation of alpha-synuclein misfolding”. Alpha-synuclein is involved in the regulation of neurotransmission at nerve terminals and synapses. There is evidence that misfolded alpha-synuclein can travel, via the vagus nerve, directly from the gut to the dorsal brain where the tau tangles of Parkinsons' mostly form.
“Bidirectional communication between the CNS and the GI tract - the brain-gut axis - occurs both in health and disease.”
Humans eating animals particularly, burgers and sausages which contain brains and spinal cord, run the risk of consuming these misfolded proteins, mistakenly called TSE’s or prions, which, if the human has inadequate protection from the microbiome may be transferred from the gut to the brain.
There is no evidence for transmissible, ‘infectious’ pathogens.
There is much evidence for not eating diseased animals, for maintaining gut barrier integrity with a diet low in saturated animal fat and for cultivating an healthy, flourishing microbiome by eating plenty of regeneratively grown fresh fruit, veg, legumes, wholegrain, nuts and seeds.

Do you know of the work by Dr. Stephanie Senoff. This pdf of their research from a year ago:

Dear Jo,
I'm sure you're familiar with Plato's 'cave analogy' which essentially points out that we, as humans, have a blinkered or restricted point of view. As I delve into your sorts of themes, I'm often reminded of the analogy which, in normal life, doesn't really make sense. In normal life, we tend to talk with people who either agree with us, or at least agree on the terms of the debate. More and more, all of this is falling apart.
Polio, I think, is the best example of what I'm trying to express. I, along with 99.9% of the world, was happy to say: virus -> paralysis; vaccine -> cure. But I was blissfully ignorant of the fact that 'public health' would literally spray children with vast mists of DDT. I kill a few mosquitos with Raid, and I'm coughing the rest of the night!!!
As you unveil certain aspects of medicine, I find myself more and more bewildered. In this example, prions, I'm astonished that there are no scientists who said: well, okay, sure the cows are getting sick, but we treat them horribly and poison them. Then: since we have no ethics, we might as well take a few dozen and poison them a bit more/less and treat them slightly better/worse... and see what happens.
Or, with polio: spray a bunch of hamsters with DDT and see what happens.
The West, where I grew up, is an increasingly strange beast. I'm living now in one of the poorest non-African 3rd world countries and... everybody is insanely healthy! They might die a little bit younger, but life expectancy is a poor judge of *health* (and a good judge of sanitation).
I suppose this message is somewhat inessential. But having been in the academy, I'm increasingly distressed with what it's turned out to be.
