What is the Heartland Institute?
Our Mission. To discover, develop, and promote free-market solutions to social and economic problems.
From wiki ‘The Heartland Institute (donors to the institute include the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation, Microsoft, General Motors, Comcast, Reynolds American, Philip Morris, Amgen, Bayer, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer and Eli Lilly, liquor companies, and an anonymous donor who had given $13 million over the past five years) is an American conservative and libertarian public policy think tank known for its rejection of both the scientific consensus on climate change and the negative health impacts of smoking.
Founded in 1984, it worked with tobacco company Philip Morris throughout the 1990s to attempt to discredit the health risks of secondhand smoke and lobby against smoking bans.Since the 2000s, the Heartland Institute has been a leading promoter of climate change denial.’
Cue this piece by Justin Haskins in The Hill from in December 2020;
‘In June, elites at important international institutions such as the World Economic Forum and the United Nations launched a far-reaching campaign to “reset” the global economy.
The plan involves dramatically increasing the power of government through expansive new social programs like the Green New Deal and using vast regulatory schemes and government programs to coerce corporations into supporting left-wing causes.
As World Economic Forum (WEF) head ( the creator of this vanity project) Klaus Schwab wrote back in June, “the world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions. Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed (He’s clearly a megalomaniacal mad man).
The two justifications for the proposal, which has been aptly named by its supporters the “Great Reset,” are the COVID-19 pandemic (the short-term justification) and the so-called “climate crisis” caused by global warming (the long-term justification).
Errr and who wrote this piece?
‘Justin Haskins is the editorial director of the Heartland Institute
So industry funded climate deniers, whose mission is to develop free markets reported on a reset agenda including the Green New Deal and greater governmental restrictions, encompassing the whole world from America to China that was based on the ‘so-called’ ‘climate crisis’. What does this tell us? Would industry benefit from casting doubt on climate change by inventing an evil control agenda of people who have invented climate change?
D’ah! Yes.
The Heartland institute is only one of the foundations in the US Climate Change Counter Movement funded by wealthy families and others
Top grant makers to CCCM organizations and below top recipients of the CCCM funds. The funding has been steadily increasing up to 2018 and presumably is continuing to do so.
UK politicians and previously greenwashed statements by industry have done a U turn. ‘Shell is the latest fossil fuel company to scale back on its climate change pledges in order to increase payouts to shareholders. The oil and gas giant announced yesterday that it is dropping plans to cut oil production each year for the rest of the decade.
Shell now says that production will remain stable until 2030, and it will invest $40 billion (€36.7 bn) in oil and gas production between 2023 and 2035. That’s compared to between $10bn (€9bn) and $15bn (€13.7bn) in ‘low-carbon’ products like biofuels, hydrogen and carbon capture and storage.’
The goal of CCCM and controlling oil prices is not just about the money, it’s also to maintain US hegemony.
Others embrace climate change but use it for greater political, national and military control.
Also from 2020 in MPN John Kerry’s real role as Climate tsar is;
‘Kerry will have three priorities in his role as President Biden’s right-hand man. What were those three priorities? Making sure people in the Global South could eat and have access to safe drinking water? Reparations? Disaster relief or response teams? Cutting back on fossil fuel use? Indeed not. For the American Security Project (of which John Kerry is a founding member), the primary objectives were:
A huge rebuilding of the United States’ military bases. (which may be neutralised by rising sea levels)
Countering China in the Pacific (who are trying to tackle climate change)
Preparing for a war with Russia in the newly-melted Arctic.
‘What will the designation of the climate crisis as a “national security threat” entail domestically? Last year, the ASP wrote that “Given that climate change will force more families to migrate, funding for border security should include improving facilities for holding and transporting migrants.” In other words, an expansion of the militarized border and network of detention centers, often condemned as “concentration camps.”
The Pentagon is the largest single polluter in the world, and the U.S. has historically insisted on exempting the military from any climate treaties. Just one B-52 bomber consumes as much fuel in an hour as an average car driver uses in seven years. As the Institute for Policy Studies wrote, “militarism and climate justice are fundamentally at odds” while “climate change and border militarization are inextricably linked.”
While many activists may have taken heart at Kerry’s tough words, it is doubtful whether occupying Norway or expanding the network of Immigration and Customs Enforcement camps was exactly what they had in mind when they said they wanted the government to act on climate change.’
In plain sight; the industry is denying climate change and telling us that it is a hoax to bring in left wing, anti-prosperity policies and greater governmental control. IT IS A CON. Remember; they want to discover, develop and promote free-market solutions.
I think that fears of evil dynasties, clubs in Rome (Rockefeller did indeed fund white supremacist groups who thought that population increases in Africa would mean that resources would run out, though the population did increase and they haven't) and vanity projects in Switzerland that are bent on control and depopulation have been purposefully revived and stirred by corporations who want to cast doubt on global warming.
They say it’s not happening, it’s not that bad, or it’s natural or it’s caused by government weather manipulation schemes. The argument goes that cutting down half the rainforest, polluting and emptying the oceans and all the tonnes of gas and steam pumped out by billions of humans can't possibly affect the climate but some deliberate action (known to be happening and very worrying) such as chemtrails (known to be cooling) and some other bits and pieces, can.
Some companies embrace climate change but use it as an excuse for increased militarisation, nationalism, political gain and geoengineering. This also distracts from ecosystem destruction, species extinction, loss of pollinators, soil infertility, the increases in autism, Alzheimers and Parkinson’s due to vaccines and pesticides and the holding of every individual of every non-human species at our collective mercy; and (apart from out pets) showing them no mercy.
They created the global economic ‘resets’ so that we continue to buy their products, oil and animal agriculture (both or which continue to be subsidised by tax payers to the tune of $trillions per year), continue with business as usual and not worry about a thing; which accepting the evidence on climate change and becoming aware of what we’re doing to billions of animals and to the environmental would jeopardise.
They also smear wind and solar energy and fund wokeness, transactivism and the deliberately annoying JSO to create more disdain for left wing policies, alarmists and activists. And I wouldn’t be surprised if they had purposefully chosen a 16 year old, sailing, Swedish girl for a figurehead as a target for misogyny and ridicule as well as stage managed photo ops.
The media of course hypes up weather and everything else for clicks, though the right wing media and both UK political parties are becoming more openly pro-oil. The excitement with which Mann and other climate scientists in the media react to bushfires reminds me of those warning about 5G (which may well be causing harm) and covid. They have long been waiting for evidence and therefore jump the gun and false start; there’s no evidence for a new disease ‘covid’ and the attribution studies on warming since 1880 is making catastrophic weather events, such as cyclones, droughts and fires, happen more often are in their infancy.
Medical freedom really embarrassed themselves by reposting the images of supposed DEWs in Maui as they were eagerly waiting evidence of the globalist agenda we’ve been fed. The elites ability to manipulate us is also beautifully exemplified by the lab leak theory and Ivermectin double cross.
A plan for a global reset using climate change to enforce huge amounts of government control is a fantastical con (and it’s also mad to think that these villains have that much control over BRICS). It is used to convince us that our consumption has no negative effect on planet Earth. It was created to protect the capitalist system of growth and to legitimise the continuation of the patriarchy which maintains it.
Perpetual fear of any policies protecting animals or the environment is what they want. Whether deliberate of not, the fake pandemic ‘covid’, the small-business destroying, consolidator of money and power in the hands of the global few, certainty has helped them to achieve it.
